[ Good day, Johto! The text that appears on the network today is an unusual one. ]

hello, hello. i am ALTER EGO the PORYGON.
trainer MAKOTO NAEGI has ceased to function normally and is not responding.

this is important and i am at a loss for words. and i rarely lose words!
how do i fix my TRAINER?? :(

did somebody DELETE his system32?
did anybody back up his files?
furthermore, his antenna is bent sideways and is unable to receive WI-FI signals.
KYOUKO KIRIGIRI, you should take better care of his EQUIPMENT!! >8(

(ooc; Naegi is as of today in a canon update coma and will return in a week. In the meantime, you get a distressed cybernetic bird.)

[ Unfortunately, there's no response from Naegi -- the only noise coming from the bed he's in was made by the hall monitor sitting next to him, arms folded across his chest.

...Said noise sounds a lot like barking. ]

HELLO ISHIMARU HOW DID YOU GET HERE WHY ARE YOU BARKING??

Chihiro jumps back into the doorframe with a short cry of surprise, narrowly missing stepping on Henko in the process. He....really isn't clear on what he's looking at here, UM.]

...I.....I-Ishimaru-kun....?!

[ "Ishimaru" simply barks again (this time sounding a little irritated) before standing up and points at the comatose person behind him. Now's not the time to be concerned about "Ishimaru" and you should help my trainer. ]

[...This is a completely baffling situation, yet...what else is he supposed to do but comply? Nervously, Chihiro edges a bit closer to the bed, his attention split between eyeing "Ishimaru" out of the corner of his eye and watching the place where Naegi is lying prone in bed.

Ishimaru seriously you're scaring him.

Either way he does turn back to Naegi, gently reaching down to take his shoulder in one hand, nudging him slightly.]


N..Naegi-kun....? ...

[The words "Is something wrong?" die in his throat before he has the chance to say them, because clearly something is wrong.]

[ Naegi doesn't respond, of course, and there's no indication he even heard Chihiro's voice and there's no reaction to the touch. Still, he's breathing normally and his pulse is normal; it looks like he could wake up any moment.

Kagura seems to have grown weary of her illusions for now, and "Ishimaru" fades away to reveal one jittery fox -- she's nervous and it shows, and she doesn't seem to know what to do. If persistent barking at the problem doesn't fix the situation, then what on Arceus' green Earth will? ]

[When Chihiro notices the disruption in his peripheral, he manages to turn just in time to see "Ishimaru" suddenly fade as Kagura drops the illusion. It leaves him stunned into silence for a moment as he watches her, until he recognizes what she is: a Zorua, the pre-evolved form of Zoroark. That's right, Invidia used his illusions to communicate some things to him during prom...why she chose to take the form of Ishimaru just then he doesn't know, but that's a question for another day.

Chihiro's not at all the person to try to calm Kagura down, because he doesn't know what to do either. He shakily sits down on the edge of the bed, carefully taking both of Naegi's shoulders and nudging him again, just on the off chance that he's just in a....really deep sleep for some reason. When that gathers no response, a spike of panic hits him that sets him to trembling because something is very wrong and he needs help right now.]

...N..Nanami-san!! Something's wrong!

[He looks frantically to the door and calls out without getting up, not wanting to leave Naegi where he is alone. Isamu and Henko now stand on the floor next to the bedside, Henko making her way over so she can look up at Kagura, her ears falling back with a small whine. Don't worry...our trainer will get help.]

[ Chihiro calling out for her is enough for Nanami to come running, though she has...no real idea why she is running to Naegi's room. She decides that since it sounds like an emergency, she can come in without knocking or pausing, looking around with surprisingly wide eyes and trailed by her Musharna. ]

Fujisaki-sama? What's wrong - ?

[ It...looks like Naegi is sleeping perfectly peacefully and some of his Pokemon are milling about less peacefully, so at a glance Nanami can't connect what's wrong here, looking at Chihiro with clear puzzlement, though she continues over to his side and hovers, frowning. ]

[Chihiro doesn't get up, but he doesn't do anything else either, sitting there with his hands still shaking as he finally pulls them from Naegi's shoulders. His voice is small and alarmed when he finally finds it again to speak.]

It...it's Naegi-kun, he...he won't w-wake up...

[Other than the fact that Naegi won't respond to anything he's doing, everyone seems unhurt.]

[ Nanami checks this for herself by...lifting up one of Naegi's hands and watching it drop. Is that standard nursing procedure...pretty sure it isn't. ]

...Ah, then it might be one of those things...

[ Chihiro's shaking, though, so Nanami turns her attention to him, moving one hand to absently rest on his shoulder. ]

...Sometimes people fall asleep like this for a while, and then remember new things about home. It happened to Ishimaru-senpai a while back...so, Naegi-senpai is probably in one of those...I think. He should wake up, but it may take a while. We should...see about getting him back to Goldenrod, or at least somewhere he can be safe while he sleeps.

[Wow, that's.....a little frightening, to be honest. He relaxes slightly at Nanami's touch, turning his attention back to Naegi for a moment. He looks exactly like he's simply sleeping and could wake at any time...

Chihiro nods slowly, folding his hands in his lap.]

I...I see. ....so....so he'll be ok, then? ...A-as long as we get him somewhere safe while he sleeps...?

Mhmm. I wasn't at home for a lot of it last time...but we should call Kirigiri-senpai and let her know about it. She'll know what to do.

[ ...Apparently Nanami has unshakable faith that this is so, at least, even on the off chance Kirigiri doesn't, but that possibility doesn't even occur to her. Why wouldn't Kirigiri know what to do? ]

And she can decide where we take him...back to the house, to the pokecenter, that sort of thing. After that, we just wait. ...I wonder how much he'll remember?

[ Probably not enough to be useful to her specifically. :T But she can live in hope!! ]

[He nods again, sighing. He will agree that without a doubt, if anyone would know what to do, it would be Kirigiri. He's relieved to know that Naegi's ok other than being in some sort of strange, sudden coma, because that was a scare he really could have gone without today.

At least he's not....shaking anymore, but he's still shaken by all of this as a whole.]

O-ok....you're right.

[...You know, this would have to happen while they're so far away from Goldenrod/home, wouldn't it..]

...Do you want me to call her, Fujisaki-sama? [ At least he stopped shaking...Nanami won't suggest he leave Naegi's side for fresh air or anything, but she does reach out to take one of his hands, squeezing it in an attempt at comfort. ]

It's...going to be okay. He'll wake up, and then we can tell him about the things he missed...so, we should be sure to have at least one good story ready, right? So...don't be upset.

[He nods a little, relaxing a bit more when Nanami takes his hand. He doesn't respond otherwise, but he does seem reassured by what Nanami is saying. Henko hops up onto the bed and quietly worms her way into Chihiro's lap in the meantime, bumping her head against his hand.

Nanami is right. Everything will be alright...they'll call Kirigiri, and she'll figure out what they need to do from there.]

Ah, although...it looks like Alter Ego threw up a post. [ It's weird to use that name and not being referring to the actual program...Nanami's tabbing through her gear, one-handed. ]

...And Kirigiri-senpai replied. We can just ask her here...

[ She is surprisingly adept at typing one-handed, wow. ]

[Again Chihiro will nod, not...intentionally keeping quiet, but moreso just trying to calm down from the minor heartattack that comatose!Naegi accidentally gave him. He'll be there to keep an eye on what Kirigiri tells them to do, because if anything he wants to make sure they get Naegi somewhere safe as soon as possible, if need be.]

[ Alter Ego will periodically emerge from the PokéGear to nudge Chihiro or Nanami and... make distressed noises in their general direction. ]

[Ah...well, if there's anything Chihiro can do, it's try to be reassuring to poor Alter Ego, especially since Zip is still in his room and horribly out of the loop at the moment. He's been momentarily banned from the Network after all of his rampant texting so....kindof at a bad time, oops.

While Nanami texts Kirigiri he'll lift a hand to gently touch the Pokemon in response to the nudging in what he hopes is a reassuring way.]
