I was there the other day to get the Fog Badge, actually. We (I'm travelling with Ishimaru-kun) were only there for a day but I got to see the Burned Tower up close. It was interesting.

You're definitely a main character type. You're the one people converge around, right? The one who people tell things to. That's the sort of person you are...I think it's admirable.

I'm doing okay. I'm challenging Ecruteak tomorrow...I have the first two badges, otherwise. We're probably staying here to the ninth...then flying back for my birthday on the fourteenth. I want to challenge Goldenrod when I get back, too.

I got the Fog Badge and the Glacier Badge. Pryce was really tough and we had some close calls but we came through in the end.

Everyone has a rival character. It's an absolute staple of this genre! If you don't know who it is, that can't be helped...but you should definitely keep an eye out. Rival battles are among the most exciting!

You mean, a rival like Blue?

Exactly! A person whose starter is super-effective against yours...

For me, that destined person is Kirigiri-senpai. I am sure your destined rival is also out there, Naegi-senpai.

I started with a Togepi, a Normal-type. Does that mean my rival's starter is a Fighting-type?

But she's part Flying now so Fighting isn't super-effective anymore.

I think it would still be a Fighting-type...but perhaps a Fighting-type that evolved into something equally effective against a part-flying type...

It might be a little tougher to find your rival, but I think we can do it.

Does a Pokémon like that even exist? Its secondary type would have to be Rock, Electric or Ice.

Could be. After all, no one knew about Bloobers, right...? So perhaps it's just something we don't know about.

That's true. There's probably many undiscovered Pokémon out there.
