[ The spoiler bomb Asahina dropped on him last month has been difficult to deal with, for understandable reasons; it's not anything a teenager (or anyone) should ever have to deal with. Talking to Ishimaru has done wonders, as did taking his time to absorb everything. Monobear never gave them the time they needed back inside the school so in a way, just...having that is great. It's still a heavy weight to carry, but he's back on his feet and ready to keep walking forward.

Naegi is much more resilient than he thinks he is, and he has his friends.

That said, he decided to buy a camera as a way to deal with his amnesia. It's a long shot given he has no idea how the memories were even removed to begin with, but he's hoping to make memories of the forgotten years resurface by creating and preserving new ones; and if it doesn't work, he will still have these new ones with him. New, happy memories of his friends. If he can have that, he's pretty much content. ]

[ People in Violet City may run into Naegi and his entourage of Pokémon today. All of his Pokémon are out of their Pokéballs and judging from the camera he's holding, he's trying to get his band of critters to pose for a group picture.

It's...not going too well. He has over ten of them and half of them start doing their own thing as soon as Naegi turns his back. ]

Yumie, stay still for a second, please? [ The Togetic chirps, tilting its head. If the birdthing could talk, it would say something like "Boo, that's boring, why are we doing this? :<" ]

Kagura, stop pretending to be Ishimaru-kun...

[ While Naegi was trying to talk Yumie into staying still, his Zorua took the opportunity to create its illusion. Apparently being a certain kid is a new favourite past time. "Ishimaru" barks at Naegi and then proceeds to weird out the general vicinity by staring at anyone walking by. The illusion itself is rather convincing, but the lack of blinking sends the entire thing right into the uncanny valley. ]

[ Bigger version here. 'Sup, network, today Naegi decided to showcase one of the photos he's taken. In case you can't tell, the photo features a Dragonair and a Ducklett flying above a tree. ~~Yes, I got lazy and used a custom brush for the clouds.~~

The video shows Naegi sitting on a bench somewhere in Violet and he seems to be in a good mood today, judging by the small smile on his lips. The Dragonair from the picture is curled up beside him and occasionally a snore can be heard from it. ]

Midori evolved into Dragonair today. Isn't she beautiful? I think she was really looking forward to it because she took flight as soon as she evolved. Although I don't really understand how she can fly with those wings. I'm guessing that's just another case of Johto being Johto, huh?

[ There's no logic to how things operate in Pokéworld, really. After almost four months in Johto, Naegi's able to shrug it off as nothing out of the ordinary. His Togetic can fly without flapping its wings so he can accept the head wings. At least they're not Victini's butt wings. ]

I bought a camera so I could capture moments like this one. I'm not really a good photographer, but I like how this one came out and I think it's a great way to preserve memories of my time here.

Speaking of memories, I'd like hear about yours! I know a lot of you want to go home as soon as possible, but I'm sure you've had some good times in this world, too. Things like making new friends, or just enjoying the sights.

[ No, really, tell him about all the positive things Johto has brought you. Having said that, he reaches over to cut the feed. ]

Ah yeah, that'd be great! It'd be nice to have some pictures to keep track of our time here, y'know?

That's what I thought when I bought the camera...I want pictures of us that I actually can remember taking.

Ugh, yeah. I've forgotten too much and I don't want to lose more. I keep wondering what my life was like during those years.

[ Did he figure out what to do with his life? Did he score a date with any of the girls? There are so many things he wishes he could remember. ]

[Wow, Naegi is taking this really hard. Mondo nods slightly, trying his best to be sympathetic. It doesn't really come as naturally as it should. Sure, he gets where this is a huge bummer, but Naegi really seems bothered by it in a way he's not quite getting.]

Maybe we'll figure it out, who knows? I don't know how Enoshima did it, but hopefully the process isn't fucking permanent. Our memories might come back in bits and pieces or something like that!

[That's how it happens in the movies, right?]

[ He is missing two years of his life. The fate of his family might be in his head somewhere but he can't reach it. And the fate of the world, too. He wants to know because the uncertainty of it all scares him more than it should. ]

They might. Come to think of it, you and Ishimaru-kun bonded really quickly...and Oogami-san and Asahina-san became friends almost immediately, too.

Yeah! Ishimaru and I were talking about that the other day; we do think it's cause of our lost memories or something. I mean, we kinda hated each other until that sauna battle, but it was pretty easy for us to become friends after that!

[He doesn't like acknowledging that there was a time when he didn't like Ishimaru, but it is the truth.]

That was an unusual way to go from hating each other to being friends...

[ Because really, sane people generally don't become kyoudai in a sauna. ]

Asahina-san's sitting on Oogami-san's shoulders in that photo, so I think they subconsciously got along right from the start as a result of being friends back then.

Ah, I guess it kinda was!

Yeah! Those two always seemed to get along, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had been really good friends during those years! Fuck, even Fujisaki and I seemed to be getting along in that picture and... well... we didn't really get much of a chance to hit it off in the school, but we seem to be doing okay here!

[Of course they didn't get a chance to hit it off in the school because he killed Fujisaki, but that's not something he's going to dwell on right now!!]

[ They didn't get to hit it off but Mondo did get to hit Fujisaki with a dumbbell!! ]

That's good to hear! [ Especially after what happened. Fujisaki is truly a nice person, and incredibly brave for having the courage to tell Mondo about his secret a second time. ]

I think you two and Kuwata-kun were close, too. You were in that first picture I found and you were all smiling.

Oh yeah? I guess we didn't get much of a chance to get to know one another before he... yeah. I still feel pretty bad about that. I mean, we could have refused to vote or something.

If we refused to vote, we would've been punished... No one deserves going through...that, but we didn't have a choice.

[It's just a difficult thing to accept, that they voted to kill one of their classmates. It's somehow or other less difficult to accept that they voted to kill him. He's not sure what that says.]

If there had been any other option, we would've taken it. Or if there had been any exploitable loopholes in his rules...

[ Sure, they managed to find a few loopholes (like the one that allowed them to break down doors that weren't locked) but there was no getting around how the trials were set up. And even if there had been a way, they were all in a highly stressful life and death situation. ]
